One of my fave hotpot places in burwood! The beef is so tender esp in the book of secrets set I enjoy how flavourful their hotpot soup bases are too including the tomato oxtail soup :)
Probably my favourite Chaoshan style hotpot in Sydney! Their meat quality is out of this world - 100% halal & freshly cut. The perfect balance of marble & lean meat. Will be definitely coming back!
Fresh Beef Hotpot is a spot that truly delivers. The freshly hand-cut beef with beautiful marbling is the star, but they’ve also got a great variety of seafood, veggies, mushrooms, and noodles to go with it. We tried the Book of Secret, which came with premium cuts and even a little fire show. Every bite was so good I left completely stuffed!
One of the most popular hot pot restaurants in the heart of Burwood. Mostly very busy during weekends so waiting time can be long. Preferably choosing to go on week days to avoid the crowds. Staff can sometimes be cold but okay generally. Beef is fresh as the name and good soup flavours. Nice place for sharing with big groups.
Beef Life Hotpot – one of the best halal hotpot spots in town! The beef here is top quality and super tender, with plenty of cuts to choose from. I went with the beef bone soup and spicy soup base — both were full of flavour and made the whole experience even better. They also offer a wide range of sides, so you can mix and match however you like. Definitely a must-try for hotpot lovers, especially if you’re looking for a great halal option!
One of the most premium and authentic halal hot pot experiences in Sydney. We visited Fresh Beef Hot Pot in Burwood and were thoroughly impressed by the quality, freshness, and attention to detail. This restaurant brings true Chaoshan-style hot pot to Sydney, offering a dining experience that is both authentic and refined. It’s also halal-friendly, which makes it a fantastic option for those seeking quality and inclusivity. The highlight of our visit was the signature Book of Secrets. The presentation was exceptional — thinly sliced, beautifully marbled beef layered elegantly like the pages of a book. Each slice was freshly hand-cut, and remarkably, you could flip the plate upside down without the meat falling off. Once cooked in the rich and aromatic broth, the beef was incredibly tender and full of flavour. The selection of broths and dipping sauces allowed for a fully customisable experience, and every ingredient on the table reflected premium quality. From the fresh vegetables to the side dishes, everything was thoughtfully prepared and served with care. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and eager to guide us through the menu, ensuring we made the most of our experience. The restaurant itself was clean, modern, and welcoming — perfect for both casual meals and special occasions. Fresh Beef Hot Pot Burwood offers an elevated take on traditional hot pot dining. For anyone who appreciates quality ingredients, authentic flavours, and outstanding service, this place is highly recommended.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Tried Fresh Beef Hotpot in Burwood and it was amazing! The beef was super fresh, tender, and sliced perfectly thin so it cooked in seconds. The broth was rich and tasty, and the dipping sauces made it even better. Portions were generous, service was quick, and the cosy vibe made it such a nice place to enjoy hotpot. Definitely coming back for more!
Really love how good is their hotpot even have oxtail tomato soup which is my absolute favourite. Guess what?? This place is halal!! But their wagyu beef is the star. They have high quality meat and wide selection of sauce station.
